I picked up a copy of Fallout 3 yesterday on the way home from the gym and only had a short while to play before it was time for True Blood and Dexter to come on (HD-DVR ftw!).  Hence, why I only had a little while to try out the game.  Anywhoo… first impressions are excellent.  The graphics are INSANE and the beginning sequence definitely sets the tone for a spectacular game.

I unlike the majority of gamers, I have NOT… I repeat NOT played the other two Fallout games so I am going into this game with a clear mind and not comparing it to the previous games.

Soooo… after a night of my brother, his girlfriend and a friend from the neighborhood playing World Tour.  My orange “cymbal” stopped working completely.  Thinking it was the sensitivity issue, I tried the tape trick but had no luck.

I ended up trying to switch the orange and yellow cymbals… and OMG it was NOT the cymbal sensor.. it was the wire from the mount that plugs into the cymbal sensor.

Fast forward about 20 mins and I a managed to tape the wire in just the right way that the cymbal works like a charm.  I emailed Activision about this and have yet to receive a solution so I will have more to follow.

As for a “longer” term review of the game:  It rocks… and is even more fun when you have 3 other people to play with!
